🧭 The 3-Step Winning Factor Blueprint

Step 1: Filter by Chaos/Var (Lower = Better)

Look at the Chaos/Var number first to find out which factors are actually ruling the track today. 

• The Rule: The lower the variance number, the more predictable that factor is. You want to anchor your handicapping on the factors with the lowest Chaos numbers because the track bias is actively holding true to them.

Step 2: Check the Baseline (Look at the Avg)

Once you know which factors to trust, look at the Avg number for those specific factors. The Avg tells you the exact "par" or statistical sweet spot of the last 12 winners.

Step 3: The "Close to 2 Factors" Rule

A horse must be close to the Avg number in at least 2 of the 4 factors (EP, AP, SP, SPD) to be a valid play. Calculate the distance between the horse’s individual rank and the track Avg:

• Example A: If the factor Avg is 3.75 and the horse is ranked 4, it is only 0.25 away. That is a tight, perfect match.

• Example B: If the factor Avg is 2.25 and the horse is ranked 2, it is only 0.25 away. Another perfect match.

If a horse hits that tight margin on 2 or more factors, it fits the current physical profile of the track.

⚠️ The Golden Rule: Don't Blindly Play "1-1-1" or "1-2-1"

Do not get fooled by a horse that looks dominant on paper just because it has raw rankings of 1-1-1 or 1-2-1.

If the track's historical Avg for those key factors is saying something completely different (for example, if the track Avg is 4.10 indicating that mid-pack stalkers are winning, but your horse is a hard 1), do not play that horse. The track bias will likely compromise them, no matter how good their raw ranking looks. Always let the track averages dictate the play.
